Sheila K. Robello, J.D., LL.M. – Owner

Sheila Robello is the principal of Solan, Park & Robello. Ms. Robello has been licensed to practice in California since 2000 and in Hawaii since 2001. Ms. Robello specializes in Conservatorships, Trust Administration and Litigation, and Estate Planning and Surety Defense. Ms. Robello holds an LLM in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and is certified as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Robello is a member of Inns of Court and the Trust & Estates section of the CA Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association, the San Mateo Bar Association. Prior to joining Solan, Park & Robello, Ms. Robello served as an associate policy director and legislative analyst for a national non-profit organization.

Shannon L. Hardin, J.D., LL.M.

Shannon L. Hardin is the head of the firm’s Estate Planning Group.  Ms. Hardin joined Solan, Park & Robello in 2019, bringing with her over 16 years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates.  Ms. Hardin’s practice focuses exclusively on estate and incapacity planning, trust administration and probate. 

Ms. Hardin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with high honors, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law.

Ms. Hardin is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.

Prior to joining Solan, Park & Robello, Ms. Hardin was the principal attorney of Hardin Law Offices.

Arthur A. Park, J.D. – Of Counsel

Arthur A. Park is of counsel to the firm and head of the Probate Practice Group. Mr. Park is a native San Franciscan and attended local schools and the University of California at Berkeley. He graduated from the Georgetown Law Center and following service as a trial attorney with the Federal Maritime Commission in Washington D.C., has maintained a practice in San Francisco since 1968.

Mr. Park has extensive estate planning experience, including the drafting of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance health care directives. He has been involved in the establishment or administration of over 300 conservatorships and has acted in the capacity as attorney for the conservator, the proposed conservatee and interested third parties.

Kevin M. Solan, J.D. – Of Counsel

Kevin M. Solan is of counsel to the firm and heads the firm’s civil litigation and surety defense practices. Mr. Solan has been a trial attorney since his appointment in 1972 as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, NY. He served for 10 years and gained trial experience under the most demanding circumstances. He was a member of the Fraud and Major Felony Offense Bureaus under District Attorneys Frank Hogan and Robert Morganthau and tried numerous jury trials to verdict.

In 1982, Mr. Solan left the District Attorney’s office and took his skills to the civil arena, expanding his trial experience in the defense of professional liability claims. After relocating to San Francisco in 1984, Mr. Solan has focused his practice on representing fidelity insurers, sureties, banks and general contractors.

Mr. Solan received a Bachelor’s of Science degree magna cum laude from Fordham University in 1968 and his law degree from Georgetown University of Law Center in 1972.

Laura I. Marquez Orta – Paralegal

Laura obtained her law degree from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. Following law school she worked for the Venezuelan Court and then became a prosecutor before moving to France in 2015. Laura joined Solan, Park & Robello as a paralegal in May of 2018 and will be working to become licensed as a U.S. attorney. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and dancing. She is also fluent in French and Spanish.

Jessie Burgueno – Paralegal

Jessie Burgueno joined Solan, Park & Robello in August 2019 as a paralegal.  Jessie is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law with Certificates of Specialization in Public Interest Law and Family Law.   During law school, Jessie participated in his school’s Moot Court team and competed in the 2019 National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare & Adoption Law and 69th Annual New York City Bar Association National Moot Court Competition.   Jessie was awarded the 2019 Academic Excellence Award in Family Law for his graduating class.   Jessie is proficient in Spanish and a Notary Public.

Michael Penfield – Paralegal

Mike Penfield joined the firm in September of 2019 as a Paralegal. Mike brings over 7 years of legal experience in Estate Planning and business transactions support, a business background gained from startups to fortune 500 companies, and extensive project and program management experience. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Marketing, and a Masters of Science in International Commerce & European Studies from California State University, Sacramento. He regularly continues coursework and self study in new technologies and related industry topics.

Matthew Sherwood – Legal Assistant

Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations from University of Arizona in 2019. He plans on attending law school in the near future, and he hopes to have a long and successful career in the legal industry. Matthew enjoys traveling, and has been to destinations across Central America, Australia, Europe, and Africa. He also loves writing and playing music for his friends and family. Whether he is on a break or focused on his work, Matthew maintains a positive attitude and will always greet you with a smile.

Vincent K. Yu, J.D.

Vincent K. Yu joined Solan, Park & Robello in 2020, bringing with him his previous focus on Estate Litigation and Estate Administration matters. Before joining this firm, he was with O’Neil & Rueppel, another San Francisco Trust and Estates firm that handled Estate Planning, Administration, and Litigation.

Vincent holds a BA in Philosophy with a minor in Religious Studies from UC Riverside, and graduated from Whittier Law School with Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, focusing on personal rights of privacy and publicity. During law school, he received his Certificate of Completion under the State of California Dispute Resolutions Program Act for mediation training through the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center in LA.

When not in the office, Vincent continues his over 25 years study of the martial arts, and occasionally takes on a private student for instruction.
